Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, Pediatric Onco-Hematology Unit (2019)

At the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia, in the Pediatric Onco-Hematology Unit (2019), a humanization project was carried out through the Strong People movement. The unit was redesigned with age-appropriate decoration to make the stay more welcoming and comfortable for young patients. Interactive touch screens (15” individual tablets adapted for medical use) were installed in the Pediatric Onco-Hematology Day Hospital, as well as in the pediatric oncology and isolation rooms. Relaxation armchairs for parents and children were added in the pediatric oncology area, along with desks and chairs in both pediatrics and pediatric oncology. In addition, armchairs and sofas were placed in the family lounge area, and educational furniture was provided for the hospital’s classroom.
